NDC’s plot to tarnish Prez Akufo-Addo’s image with corruption tag fails miserably

The Opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC)’s attempt to smear President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo with a corrupt tag has failed miserably after it was discovered that the said video was a doctored misrepresentation of events.

With days to go for the December 7 elections, the NDC in a very desperate manner announced it had in its position a video recording of President Akufo Addo receiving bribe while occupying the office of President.

According to NDC’s America-based communicator Kevin Taylor and the NDC’s Communications Officer Sammy Gyamfi,  the video when aired would collapse the NPP’s 2020 campaign and remove the President’s incorruptible tag.

However, the party has received lots of backlash after airing the video after it was discovered that the video clearly fabricated to tarnish the hard-earned reputation of the President.

Investigative journalist Manasseh Awuni Azure took to his Facebook page to describe the video as took a bribe is hollow and cannot stand the test of time in any law court.

Manasseh accused those who took the video of violating the rights of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, indicating that if it is about party financing, it is not limited to only one political party in the country.

“We must hold our leaders accountable when they go wrong, but it is also our duty to protect them when they become victims of malicious propaganda. If you gloat today because it happened to your political opponent, it will one day happen to you.”

“What you’re doing is counterproductive to the political cause you seek to promote. It will turn decent minds and sympathetic hearts away from the party. The biggest mistake a political party can make is to assume that ALL the voters are stupid.”

“Anybody can do anything to achieve a political goal, but I believe we are all answerable to a supernatural being. And we will all pay or be paid for what we do here on earth before we exit this unpredictable stage called life”, the former GJA Journalist of the Year said.

Various Ghanaians have expressed their displeasure with the video and surreptitious attempt it as though it was taken in recent times.
