National Democratic Congress MP for Ningo Prampram, Hon. Sam George has aimed a subtle jibe at the Minority leader Haruna Iddrisu and other known figures within the opposition party.
In a recent Facebook post, the Member of Parliament posted a flyer which listed some members of the NDC which he described as the “the ten NDC MPs who tell truth to those in power”.
Conspicuously missing from the list are the leader of the opposition party in Parliament, Hon. Haruna Iddrisu and his deputy Hon. James Klutse Avedzi.
Also missing from Sam George’s list of Great Historians and MP’s who tell the truth were Hon. Mohammed-Mubarak Muntaka, Hon. Ibrahim Ahmed, Mahama Ayariga and interestingly the 2nd Deputy Speaker of the House, Alban S.K Bagbin.
Aside Sam George himself, list include Hon. Inusah Fuseini, Hon. Ato Forson, Isaac Adongo, Okudzeto Ablakwa, Eric Opoku and Ernest Norgbey.
Others are A.B.A Fuseini, John Jinapor and Alhassan Suhuyini.
Many who commented on the Facebook post noted and expressed worries as to the decision to snub some minority MPs in the list.
This casts a serious slur on the reputation of the leadership of the Minority in Parliament as they flyer posted by the MP indicates that they are not truthful people.
This may not be too shocking to many considering the recent brutal verbal exchanges between Hon. Alhassan Suhuyini and the Minority Chief whip Hon. Mohammed-Mubarak Muntaka.
