The Functional Executive Committee (FEC) of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has assigned National Officers of the party to the various regions to coordinate the party’s campaign.
In a letter sighted by Accuratenewsgh, leadership of the main opposition party has directed that all campaign activities in the regions should be coordinated by the assigned National Officers.
According to the letter signed by the General Secretary of the Party Johnson Asiedu Nketia, this decision was taken due to the ineffectiveness of the Regional & Constituency Executives across the country.
He stated that the National Campaign has on several occasions performed the functions of the Regional and Constituency Executives due to the ineffectiveness.
“Clearly, as Regional and Constituency Chairmen and Executives of the party, you have reneged on your responsibilities in your respective regions and left your responsibilities to the Campaign team and to some extent the party headquarters”.
The letter also pointed to some instances which had forced the flag bearer and running mate to change their campaign plans due to the unpreparedness of the Regional Executives.
The National Officers assigned as Regional coordinators are expected to supervise all party activities in their respective regions to ensure a well-coordinated campaign between now and December 7.
