The National Democratic Congress has withdrawn its legal suit seeking for re-collation of and re- declaration of the Techiman South constituency Parliamentary results.
The Techiman South Parliamentary election until this morning was being challenged by the NDC under a writ of Mandamus to compel the election to re-collate the polling station results.
The NDC in series of press conferences last week made various claims only to be hit by recorded video evidence of the actual collation and declaration.
The party this morning ran back to the Sunyani high court to withdraw the case.
It is however not clear what’s next for them as they continue to claim a majority in parliament though the EC’s results prove otherwise.
After the declaration of Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah as the MP Elect for the constituency the NDC and its candidate led blistering attacks on electoral officers, security personnel.
Media personnel who were at the collation centre were also not spared the violence and intimidation from the opposition party.
