NDC’s Ato-Forson under pressure after being caught sharing money to voters

The Youth of Ajumako-Enyan-Esiam Constituency in the Central Region have expressed disgust and disappointment in incumbent MP, Hon Cassiel Ato Forson for sharing money to constituents in a last minute attempt to save himself from defeat in Monday’s elections.

Ato Forson who is facing fierce competition from NPP’s Dr Rashid Kwesi Etuaful could suffer defeat on Monday with constituents dissatisfied with his performance as MP since 2008.

Some Youth of Constituency who are unhappy with the last minute vote buying strategy adopted by the NDC MP and his party executives.

Members of the Group who spoke to AccurateNewsGH vowed to use any means possible to stop the MP and his executives from the coming into the homes of the constituents to engage in vote buying.

“Hon. Cassiel Ato Forson should stop embarrassing himself and the good name of our constituency. He had his chance to bring development and help constituents of Ajumako-Enyan- Essiam, yet he took us for granted all these years. Today, he and his party executives are moving from house-to-house giving out 50 cedis and bags to rice to constituents.

“We want to sound a warning to Him and his NDC executives that their days of lying to the people are over and we are ready to ensure that we elect an MP who will be there for the people anytime we need him”.

“The people want someone who would impact their lives directly. Someone who would put food on the table every day and someone who always promise heaven and give nothing only to turn around and buy votes”, Kobina Anyankwah stated on behalf of the Youth Group.

There have been reports of vote buying in various constituencies by NDC parliamentary candidates with Felix Ofosu Kwakye, Haruna Iddrisu, Nii Lante Vanderpuye all accused of sharing money with a day to elections.
