Rex Omar reveals NDC’s plot to ignite street war after 2020 elections

A spokesman for the National Democratic Congress’ 2020 National Elections campaign team, Rex Omar has disclosed that the party is ready to spark outrage and unrest in the ‘streets’ should they lose the elections.

The  Musician who was named as one of the NDC’s spokespersons for the creative arts industry took to Facebook to express his frustrations as all indications point to an imminent defeat for the party in the upcoming elections.

In Facebook post on his Facebook page, Rex Omar declared that: “Election 2020 nobody is going to court! We’ll settle every matter on the street”.

This comes at a time when discerning Ghanaians are calling on all political party activists to understand that the price of violence is expensive in terms of loss of human lives, destruction of property, and creation of internal and external refugees, permanent emotional, psychological, spiritual trauma.

This is not the first time the veteran musician has made a controversial comment.

In an interview  with Amansan Krakye on Cape Coast-based GBC Radio Central, Rex Omar controversially stated thatcompiling of a new Voters Register will disenfranchise a lot of Ghanaians who don’t have a Ghana card or passport.

“Why should I support the compilation of a new Voters Register because at the end of the day you’ve already taken our bio data for the previous voters register. As for me I don’t even have the Ghana card because the way it was done it was very difficult to get it. Bio data doesn’t change because my fingerprints will continue to be the same till I die”, he said.

Interestingly the voters registration process was conducted successfully across the country with over 16 million Ghanaians registered.
