A leading member of the NPP, Gaby Asare Otchere Darko has slammed the decision of Deputy Trade Minister Carlos Ahenkora to tour registration centres in his constituencies on Tuesday despite knowing his positive COVID-19 status.
The Deputy Trade Minister, who is also the Member of Parliament for Teama West, admitted on Asempa FM that he decided to tour some regustration centres in his constituency despite knowing he had testes positive for the highly contagious Coronavirus.
Reacting to the shocking declaration on facebook, Gabby, who was shocked by the Deputy Minister’s behaviour said he shoukd have acted responsibly.
“If you KNOW you are positive, the only responsible thing left for you to do is to self-isolate or stay in a treatment centre,” Gaby wrote.
He wrote on to seemingly rubbish the excuse given by the Deputy Minister and MP that he went round the registration centres to see how things were going.
“We have over thirty days for registration. Why rush?.”
The MP and Deputy Minister has come under severe criticism from the public for breaking the COVID-19 protocols and putting people at risk.
